Few shows will  (ever again) get squirming with excitement quite as much as the Moschino S/S 2013 menswear one. Pop Art alone gets me hyped, combine that with some clothes and set it in the Excelsior in Milan, and you have me drooling at the models’ feet. Excessive? See my post-runway rave here on FashionTV to see proof for yourself.
With a clear tribute to Warhol, and perhaps a slight nod to the common-place reproductions of his aesthetic, the collection seemed to play with the idea of self-referencing, of reproducing already reproduced motifs (shall we call it post-pop?). The all-rounded presentation, with attention down to the very tins on the shelves of the Exclesior, just further contributed to giving the event a true Pop Statement.
If only those 2 for 1 adverts on all Moschino items had been true… the collection is out, and the look-book can be perused at your leisure here.
