If there was any collection I was hyped to see at Fashion Week back in June, I have to say it was Vivienne Westwood's. Talk about life-time ambition come true!
And disappointed I was not. Based around a modern-day Déjeuner sur l'herbe, the collection perfectly translated the hotch-potch collection of prints, colours and textiles you'd expect of a picnic scene. With tartan and checkered prints running through the collection, a familiar ever-so-British feel came to the surface. While I'd hate to qualify this collection as (the dreaded) boho-chic, the silhouettes figured on the runway certainly were worthy of any Dandy, past or present.
