As that ever so famous British weather finally returns, so does the perfect season for my favourite coat: the trench coat, the undeniably English staple overcoat, particularly useful at this time of the year. Now I'd never go as far as taking Anna Dello Russo's advice to the word, and run the risk of being taken for the local flasher, but a trench is certainly versatile.
In line with this, the token trench was seen in several collections, with a few of my favourites below. A special shout out to the Ports 1961 trenches, where oversized proportions were proof that the distinctive silhouette will always be a classic.
