Ginger will be able to vouch for the fact that studs & spikes get me unbelievably excited. I become slightly manic at a show when anything remotely studded comes on the runway.
Needless to say the Frankie Morello show was one where I was elated. The label certainly plays with its younger image to buy into the street-style trends of the moment, with a flurry of spikes, studs and chains on the catwalk. Alongside its array of pop oranges and pinks, the rock glam side of the show payed tribute to the genre without falling into pastiche.
With just a hint of Italian-style glitz, the show was a definite tribute to the glamourous side of dominatrix-chic. A show as humourous as it was fun.
