Byblos' womenswear show certainly explored the futuristic realms the collection was based on: 'Life on Mars', as it heralded itself to be, put in contrast the more wearable knitwear with metallic surfaces and a palette of pop colours, verging on fluorescence, worthy of a Warhol print.

Latex, trompe l'oeil prints, synthetical fabrics and glossy surfaces, as this collection showed, can be intergrated into structured silhouettes , and, despite their futuristic connotations, even appeal to an eye accustomed to more classic silhouettes.

A highlight was evidently the 3D rendition of the jacquard inspired jackets, with the negative space of the print cut out. Layering heaven.
