One of the youngest designers to be showing at Milan Fashion Week (his first collection was shown in 2008), Marco de Vicenzo made a name by working on the accessories line of Fendi before launching his own eponymous women's collection. Needless to say, Fendi made its mark, with leather and fur abound: from intricate leather darts, to full-on McQueen style leather corsets.
What Marco de Vicenzo proved to an enthusiastic (and crowded) audience was, above all, that he masters lines, with bold geometric pieces, structured with inserts of leather. With a particular emphasis on the taken-in waists, the collection emulated a classic 1950s silhouette. A show that mixed classic pieces with a definitive young punch to it.
