As you may be able to work out I'm out here in Milan, so be prepared for a prolonged list of places & things which I think are niche and just plain outrageously good. The latest surprise Milan has had to offer me was 10 Corso Como, secluded behind a vegetal wall.
Founded by gallerist and publisher Carla Sozzani, 10 Corso Como is a sort of complex made up of an exhibition space, a café, a boutique and above all (this is where it does actually get exciting) a whole bookshop solely dedicated to Art, Fashion and Design.
Light, spacious, quiet, with a particular care for layout and presentation, the bookshop is a pleasure to lounge about in & discover beautiful books. And the selection, is, of course, up to date and very carefully picked out according to 'what's new' and 'hot off the press'.
For those who are passing through Milan, well worth an hour of your time. Wallets beware.
