Tweed, Lace & Silk - Judith R. Clark

It's probably high time that I did something about Scottish fashion, so here are some creations of Scottish designer Judith R. Clark.

The appeal of her collections is that she hasn't stayed within one framework, but mixes cultures together & merges the old with the new: the very traditional Harris Tweed is made colourful & is mixed with Nepali silk.
Even the more sober collection called 'Frockcoats & High Hats' avoids being a simple copy & paste of historical costume, in that it takes male items of clothing & transforms them into extremely feminine looks.

To be honest, with my deep-rooted love for costume dramas, it'd be difficult for me not to like her stuff. As it is, all that lace is enough to set me drooling...
