Gareth Pugh's new campaign video for his SS2011 prêt-à-porter womenswear line is asbolutely stunning and riveting! As a big admirer of Gareth Pugh's work, this is another amazing feat in his ever more daring collections. The (young!) energy and totally forward thinking ideas he has are incredible...

I just love how this video lays emphasis on the structure and layers of the clothes; they are really sculpted outfits, the geometric esthetic of his clothes comes over really well in a very cleverly crafted vid. The combination of different techniques, ie dance, video, music etc. just works so well; the lighting, the b&w tones just look so great in a very sinister and morbid way. It just shows the clothes off to their utmost advantage, the different materials & fabrics just play together. Awesome collection.
Am slightly disappointed, though, that he opened his first store in Japan, of all places, especially as it sounds so amazing.
Can't help but feel a bit nostalgic for the Alexander McQueen days, who definitely started out on a road similar to this, like with his hologram of Kate Moss, for example.

It's great to see such creative energy in British Fashion, and vids like these are just what we want.
